Alliance Personnel are currently recruiting for TIG welders to join one of their clients based in Birmingham, B1.
Responsibilities:
* understand plans and requirements for each task
* prepare/cut required shapes and weld according to structure plans
* carry out skilled TIG welding work
* inspection, diagnosing problems and carry out appropriate checking/testing
* identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with appropriate codes, law, working practices and health and safety
* clean and maintain all equipment and tools and maintain a clean working area
* carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract requirements
* carry out tasks to meet applicable safety standards, targets, criteria and deadlines and to maximise productivity and profitability
* help minimise downtime and wastage
* Report to Line Manager
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm , Friday 7am - 12pm (39h per week)
