Process Improvement Engineer
Foundry Background required

Permanent position
£35k to £38k per annum depending on experience
Engineering background
Based in Stourbridge
Role of a Process Improvement Engineer
Previous working within a foundry / castings environment is a distinct advantage for this position
Pioneer design modifications needed to enhance the quality, reduce lead time, tooling and manufacturing costs
Develop right first time and everytime culture
Reduce costs of manufacturing and eliminate reworking
Minimise internal and external scrap
Pursue development and methodology of parameters that produce sound castings Main purpose of the Process Improvement Engineer
Implement best practice solutions to optimise yield and reduce non-value-added processing or activities
Optimise methods of manufacturing and layout of tooling/ rigging
Upgrade and maintain NPI to ensure all manufacturing data is logged, with finishing instructions and packaging
Liaise with sub contracting tooling engineers and pattern-shopsExperience required for the Process Improvement Engineer
Foundry / Casting experience
Knowledge of QC systems
Engineering background
